I’ve recently watched The Ugly Truth on my laptop. It was awesome! :)

The Ugly Truth is about a classical woman (Abby) who is looking for TRUE LOVE in MR. RIGHT and a stereotyped guy (Mike) who doesn’t believe in LOVE and RELATIONSHIP because he thinks that LOVE is all about SEX. Mike has a program called The Ugly Truth which is produced by Abby. Yes, serendipitous.

Mike: Rule #4: Never talk about your problems ’cause men don’t really listen or care.
Abby: Some men care!
Mike: No, some men pretend to care. When we ask “how you’re doing” it’s just guy code for “let me stick my dick in your ass”.
Abby: OOH!
Mike: I know you think Colin is above it but trust me he’s a guy. He’s even remotely into you he’s probably thought about each of your orifices at least ten times.
Abby: I love how you assume all men are perverse as you are!
Mike: Oh, I don’t assume. I know.

To cut the story short, like in any other romantic-comedy films, the one who doesn’t believe in LOVE is the one who falls deep. Mr. There’s-no-such-thing-as-love found his heart inside Ms. Hopeless-romatic’s premises. Sweet, I know. hihi

Personally, I believe that the real UGLY TRUTHS about men and women are the following:
1. Some women are so picky. Just like in the movie, there are women in the real world who look for someone who meets their standard of a PERFECT MAN. There’s no such thing as PERFECT for crying out loud! So put away that checklist and let reality bite you. I swear, that bite is less painful than the thought of you growing old alone. If you’re starting to like someone who is not a doctor, just let your heart beat for him. You’ll be happy, trust me.
2. Some men think that they can be REAL MEN if there are many girls chasing them. Come on. You only become a REAL MAN if you have LOYALTY-TO-ONE-WOMAN in your system. You need not to prove your manhood by having sex with every other girl. You just have to erase the thought that YOU ARE INCAPABLE OF LOVING because, just for the record, men are capable of loving as much as women are. It’s just that sometimes, your traumatic experiences plus pride hinder you from believing in LOVE. But here’s a piece of advice, give all your LOVE to that special girl and I guarantee you that all men will envy you because you can do something that most of them can’t.

REALITY CHECK: The one for you doesn’t necessarily have to be as hot as Taylor Lautner or Megan Fox. S/he has to be someone who has this weird ability to make everything seem so perfect despite all the imperfections that exist in the world. Sometimes, you’d find yourself genuinely and intensely in love with the guy in your Math class whom you never knew existed until he accidentally spilled a glass of orange juice on your favorite shirt or the girl wore the ugliest prom dress. You can choose who your girlfriend or your boyfriend will be but you can never choose who your heart will beat for. Love is UNEXPECTED because it’s REAL. :heart:
