I found my old blog and as I read my old posts, I was like, “Did I really write these stuffs? What was I thinking?” Man, they’re so melodramatic. There was this post that turned my face red and no, I’m not telling. I won’t even be sharing the link to that blog because the stuffs there are so fcuking embarrassing. :grin: I do hope no one from my offline world was able to read that. >.<
Upon reading the entries I wrote there, I felt proud of myself. I've improved a lot. I learned more things and I've done stuffs that I said there I can't and I won't. It's pretty fulfilling. :blush:
NOTE TO SELF: Stop saying “It won’t happen.” because eventually it will if you take the initiative TO MAKE IT HAPPEN. hihi

The DESIGNER PANDA is the title that will go to the blogger with the MOST CREATIVE AND UNIQUE Panda character design. The concept of this contest is to create a whole new character [panda] with its own look and personality through various forms of artworks. I hope that this will generate fun and creativity within the blogging community!
Mechanics:
- Designers must send their artworks to jynxedpanda @ gmail [dot] com with subject heading “DESIGNER PANDA”. Art works can be either digital art, traditional art [i.e. painting, pencil drawing, charcoal, etc], photo manipulation, photography [use a model, use yourself as a model], what have you.
- Designers may submit more than one entry.
- There will be no limit to the size of the banner or the artwork.
- If the designer wishes to use traditional art, a photo of the drawing/painting will suffice and must be sent to the email mentioned above.
- Designers must blog about the contest.
- Designers must link the sponsors of this event and also to this post using the banner above.
- Deadline of submission of entries is on December 12, 2009.
- To avoid biases, i will have a panel of judges *personal friends* who are majoring in Information Design and help me in choosing the winner. Criteria of the awards will be based on cuteness, uniqueness, creativity, blogging participation.

i am also one of those with few blogs everywhere in the past, and sometime i do laugh at myself for writing certain stuffs when i re-read them years later. it’s quite amazing to see how one grew up thru their writings.
luckily, most of the blogs that i have had been locked up by now.

my fav line/quote was “my struggle cannot be your stuggle”.. what you said was true.. like for example, my cousin is very conscious about her legs before.. she felt her legs was big.. (she’s from baguio, they say people there has sort of big legs coz they walk uphill, idunnoe if its true) but when she studied here & saw other people’s legs, she became confident coz according to her she has nicer legs compared to those other people who wears skirts/shorts . :)) also my “chubby” cousin.. So yeah, it’s our human nature.. though some are very very very self conscious.. lolz xD

Your last line reminds me of Betty in Archie comics, there’s this favorite story of mine when Betty says a girl can get anything, as long as she tries. And she does this huge makeover and gets Archie! Such a determined gal, we should really be like that! :D

i know the feeling…some of my old post i can say to myself “OMG i can’t believe how stupid i was” or “I can’t believe how naive i was” that sort, but yes that is the past you get on with your life and learn from it.

Melodramatic? I think I know how it feels like… I strive not to post melodramatic entries, especially today.. But sometimes we need to get stuff out of our hearts, to make peace with ourselves, to get rid of a burden. Out of everything, you’ve grown up, and your blog helped you through it. :) Couldn’t have gone better.
As for your excerpt: your writing is deep at an amazing level, Tricia.. I’m not human, but I can still read some of my being in there, and it looks like you’re a person who has a talent for introspection. I envy you. :)
